Chris Storm, Executive Director

 

         

Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University and spent 10 years working for the Community Services Consortium before accepting the position as SafeHaven’s Executive Director in 2001. Chris brings passion and commitment to creating a community that focuses on kindness. She believes that as a community we all have a responsibility to show compassion, respect, and a commitment to animal welfare.  In 2014, SafeHaven opened a new facility in Tangent, Oregon and Chris’s leadership was instrumental in the completion of Phase 1 of a four million dollar capital campaign.  There is no doubt that Chris loves her job! She shares her home with her husband, two teenage daughters, and, of course, a few SafeHaven alumni!

 

Brian Walters, Director of Operations

 

Brian recently changed careers and joined the staff of SafeHaven Humane Society after nearly 18 years in the tire industry.  "My family is very familiar with the organization.  My wife Cassondra has volunteered her time at the shelter and the Gift & Thrift while our two children,  Quinn and Hayden, volunteer during the Humane Education Camps."  Our family has two dogs at home:  a German shepherd named Maddie and a Golden retriever named Lilly, who was "fostered" and then adopted from SafeHaven.  Brian spent over 15 years with Les Schwab Tire Centers, building and managing relationships, and although his career may have changed, his focus remains the same.  "My number one goal is to manage our existing relationships while building new ones in order to spread the SafeHaven mission."

Molly Jimenez, Human Resources and Finance Manager

Molly joined the SafeHaven team in June of 2011 after a 25+ year management career in the Agricultural Industry.  She credits her Midwestern upbringing for her strong work ethic, where her parents instilled in her the philosophy of “the animals are fed and taken care of before you!”  As the HR/Finance Manager she strongly believes that in order to be successful, you must be responsible stewards of the monies given to your organization by its donors. When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband Arnold, their two children Katie and Emma, and their SafeHaven Alumni dog Sophie.  Molly says, “I love coming to work and seeing real differences being made in peoples’ lives!”   

 

 

Jodi Javage, Gift and Thrift Store Manager

Have you ever stopped by the SafeHaven Gift and Thrift Store and wondered who puts together all those adorable displays? That would be Jodi! After graduating from Oregon State University with a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences and having two children of her own, she joined the SafeHaven team in 2010 and currently manages the SafeHaven Thrift and Gift Store. When not hard at work organizing donations, ordering retail, or making new store displays, Jodi can be found hiking and spending time with her family.
